Dear frineds Snowlight and Dhargay, me too. I am always longing to see our beautiful country. Friends, I would like to mention this that we Tibetans call our Country – Fatherland (Phayul) and never say Motherland (Mayul). Motherland is what chinese call their country. Since Tibet is not china, we should not forget to call our country what our forefathers had always called as our country Fatherland. If you don’t agree, that’s fine.
I agree with Paldor, we do not have to always follow others. We should to keep culture and religion, even meaningful names , too much change is not good. Look at history of Amdho which is written by Hortsang Jigme. He even uses the name of revolution, which has been given by Chinese Communist when they distory tibet, for tradition of gelug.
